The PCLS Sports day is coming up soon.  For parents and students who are new to our school, this is one of the PCLS traditions to celebrate the accomplishments of our students, teachers and parents over the year.  We’d like to continue this special event as successful and enjoyable as the previous years.  In order to achieve that, we need parents to support the event by donating food, drinks or others.  This is a self funding event, thus, PCLS parents’ generous donations make things possible.  All food will be sold at the lowest price (average 50₡ per item). Our goal is to have every student to receive four free tickets, and we will also provide some free tickets to the family who contributes to this event. Tickets will be sold at the park and can be used to exchange for food and dessert.

Newly created Parents Corner on our website under Events and News tab.  You can post jobs, for sale, exchange, etc.

We are recruiting members for our operating staff.  Currently, we have Parent Liaison and General Manager positions available.  We welcome interested parents to contact the Principal.

 

“Paddle for Pink” – We are participating this year’s dragon boat race.  We need some new blood.  If you are interested, please contact Marty Maa at martym@eastsport-inc.com .  The event is going to be held on June 3, 2012 at Mercer County Park Marina.

Announcement from Culture Director:

Our Yoyo team will participate in ANJCC (Association of New Jersey Chinese School) this Saturday, April 28 at Edison Chinese School, location John Adams Middle School, New Dover Road, Edision, NJ.  We would like to send our appreciation and Thank You to Mr. Bill Chien, who volunteers to represent our school as one of the Yoyo judge and Mary Tse as parent contact for this event.

Message from Chinese Brush Painting Wen H Shui Lao Shi

Congratulations to Michelle Bryson, Aryana Mohammadi and Maeve Singer, see attached file.  They were in the finalists for their Chinese Brush Paintings from The 21st Annual All-American Youth Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy Competition 2012.  Michelle Bryson also received the Gold Medal in Chinese Calligraphy. Their art works are currently displayed in Newton, MA.  This is the first time PCLS participated in the national competition. Our students did so well even with a short preparation time. - Chinese brush painting class will have their Annual Students Art Exhibition at school cafeteria area on Sunday afternoon, April 29. Please feel free and come join us to recognize our children wonderful art work.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM PDS –

Parking illegally in the fire lanes: Please be sure to follow PDS regulations regarding parking. Tickets will be given for anyone failing to observe the regulations. Please respect the law and park only in authorized locations.

No Running inside the school: Please be sure to tell your child/ren to walk in the school. PDS has asked us not to run in the facility to prevent any injury.

Doors and Windows: Please remember to close all windows when the class is over.  Please do not pop open the entrance doors to the outside in the lower gym area.
