2012 Spring Flower Arrangement class - The adult  flower arrangement class will start this Sunday February 26th.   If you still not confirm your schedule, please contact Doris at ikebananj@gmail.com . Doris will teach Moribana at first class, please bring a low Vase.

Chinese New Year Celebration at Princeton Public Library - Saturday, March 3rd, from 2 to 4 p.m. - This is a joint event of Princeton High School and PCLS students. Organize by our PCLS parent and PHS Mandarin instructor: Ms. Shwu Fen Lin. Performances of music and dance, and hands-on crafts are all part of this two-hour observance.

THANK YOU to all our teachers, performers, and volunteers that participated in Chinese New Year Celebration last Saturday at West Windsor Public Library (WWPL) and Central Jersey Chinese American Association (CJCAA)!

Our biggest Thank YOU to Mr. Chen-Huan Chiang, our lion dance team choreographer and Martial Arts teacher, everyone loved your programs, and to Mr. Rob Kao, always ready to be a substitute.  To Mr. Nick Tse and Mr. Freddy Huang, the Yoyo performance was rock, non stop clasping from the audience.  To Mrs. Mimi Yen and Mrs. Becky Lau, organized and making sure the Junior Dance is set and ready.  To Mrs. Rebecca Chien and Mrs. YunKuang Chen, coached our emcees till last minutes. To Mrs. WenHua Shui, our Chinese Brush Painting teacher, the children are amazed with your painting strokes.  To Mrs. Mei J. Hong and Ms. Lucy Pei, our Chinese Knotting teachers, the favorite on every event, they wanted you to stay until closing.  To our activities volunteers, Origami, Finger Painting, Chop sticks games….  you made the day to all little children and adults also.  Also Thanks to Mrs. Evelina Chung, our principal, prepared and delivered goody bag and drink to all our performers. Last but not least, our forever generous Mrs. Stella Khor, provided food to all our performers and parents.

Lion Dance team, Junior Dance team, Martial Arts team, YoYo Team, and student volunteers, you all earned extra coupon(s) from Culture programs.

Once again, my sincere THANKS to all teachers and parents,  we can’t have this day without your help!

Announcement from Cultural Director:

- If you are signed up for Lion Dance team, we are ready for another practice this Sunday, January 15th at 2:00PM in small gym (yo yo’s classroom).

- We are recruiting students (age 12 and older), to volunteer at West Windsor Public Library on Saturday, January 21 from 2 – 4 PM. West Windsor Public Library will celebrate Chinese New Year on this date and you will represent PCLS to run different booths. PCLS Annual Drawing Contest submission ends this week, January 15, 2012. Please hand in your child’s drawing paper to Cultural Director this Sunday in the cafeteria. All works should be completed by contestant only! All contestants are free to choose one of the following topics:

Chinese Animals: 1. Dragon 2.Lions 3. Pandas

Chinese Cultural Holidays: 1. Chinese New Year 2. Dragon Boast Festival 3. Chinese Moon Festival

Chinese Performing Arts: 1. Beijing Opera Masks 2. Chinese Acrobatics Show 3.Chinese Cultural Dance

China Tour: Major China Cities or Attractions.
