  • IMPORTANT NOTE FROM PDS –

* Please No Scotch Tape on Painted Area – PDS has asked us not to scotch tape any signs on painted area since it will peel off the paint when you remove the scotch tape.
* We have received an official complaint from PDS about Chinese School families parking illegally in the fire lanes. By parking illegally, you not only risk getting a ticket, but you also negatively impact our relationship with PDS. Please respect the law and park only in authorized locations.

* No PCLS students should touch the PDS lockers or other PDS property. We ask that all parents, teachers and staff members help us to enforce this rule. We are guests at PDS and should treat the facility and everything in it with respect. Failure to respect PDS property is against our Code of Conduct. Thanks for your cooperation!

  • School Weekly Emails - If you did not receive our school weekly emails every week, please write to us at pcls_org@yahoo.com so that we can have your correct email address.
  • Parents in Classes - PCLS strongly discourages parents from sitting in children's classes. Many of our classes are already full. Adults in the class can be distracting for both children and the teachers. All our teachers will work closely with the children to assure that they are comfortable and actively participating in class. Additionally, each week the teachers send home information so that parents are updated about what was covered in class and what the homework assignments are. Finally, all our teachers encourage you to reach out to them with any questions or concerns. We ask your cooperation so that we give all students the best possible Chinese-language experience. Questions? Please see the academic director or principal.
  • Parents of Young Children - Please take responsibility to make sure your children know how to get from their language to culture class. Meet them after class and help them find their way through the school. Also, be sure to pick them up promptly at 5pm after culture class. We don’t want any lost children and PDS is particularly overwhelming to young children for the first few weeks of school.
  • Seminar Notes on The College Application Process - Our Leadership class teacher Mr. Wang had taken the notes for "Seminar: The College Application Process on May 4" and would like to share it with our parents. Parents can view it by going to www.parents2.com, look for an icon of table lamp and a link "Regarding College Admission". If parents are willing to share their notes and add to it, please feel free to contact wangwh@att.net.
