Announcement from Cultural Director:
- If you are signed up for Lion Dance team, we are ready for another practice this Sunday, January 15th at 2:00PM in small gym (yo yo’s classroom).
- We are recruiting students (age 12 and older), to volunteer at West Windsor Public Library on Saturday, January 21 from 2 – 4 PM. West Windsor Public Library will celebrate Chinese New Year on this date and you will represent PCLS to run different booths. We welcome all TAs to sign up, this is another chance for you to earn community service hours. For more information, please contact Cultural Director Lucy Quach-Saengtawesin at Lucyquach@aol.com
PCLS Annual Drawing Contest submission ends this week, January 15, 2012. Please hand in your child’s drawing paper to Cultural Director this Sunday in the cafeteria. All works should be completed by contestant only! All contestants are free to choose one of the following topics:
Chinese Animals: 1. Dragon 2.Lions 3. Pandas
Chinese Cultural Holidays: 1. Chinese New Year 2. Dragon Boast Festival 3. Chinese Moon Festival
Chinese Performing Arts: 1. Beijing Opera Masks 2. Chinese Acrobatics Show 3.Chinese Cultural Dance
China Tour: Major China Cities or Attractions.
- Once again, we are confirmed for Adult Flower Arrangement class with Ms Doris Lin. This class will start from 2:45 – 4:45pm staring on 2/26, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, 4/1, 4/15, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20. Class fee: $22 each class ($3 for PCLS facility fee), Flowers material are included. Please contact Lily Chen at mydearlily@gmail.com for additional information or signup for this class. Fundraising:
We are selling Asian Food Market Gift Certificate and Shoprite Gift Card. Please contact PTA for purchase.
We are planning to sell used Chinese traditional clothes at the New Year Event for fundraising, if you have used, like new clothes, please donate to PCLS. Timothy Lee will be collecting them.
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM PDS –
Parking illegally in the fire lanes: Please be sure to follow PDS regulations regarding parking. Tickets will be given for anyone failing to observe the regulations. Please respect the law and park only in authorized locations.
No Running inside the school: Please be sure to tell your child/ren to walk in the school. PDS has asked us not to run in the facility to prevent any injury.
Doors and Windows: Please remember to close all windows when the class is over. Please do not pop open the entrance doors to the outside in the lower gym area.
